DNA Technology: Where We’ve Been, Where We Are, and Where We Are Headed

Youth representing 7 beef breed associations participated in an educational program centered on genomics. They had the opportunity to tour GeneSeek and the US Meat Animal Research Center as well as take part in an educational event as part of the annual Weight Trait Project meeting. This educational program focused on talks related to the current and future status of genomic tools for beef cattle genetic improvement.
